our art nights

What’s an art night?

Alongside Aaron Abunu we designed and scaled an art-driven community at USC, growing from 15 attendees to 50+ per event by leveraging consistency, accessibility, and social incentives.

Hosted nine art parties centered on collaborative art, using free alcohol, open invites, and a consistent format to encourage participation.

We kept the barrier to saying yes low. Understood that the act of making art can be scary. We made our projects simple and low-stakes. So everyone can participate.

We looked at art as a tool to connect us.

We invited USC artists to host the art nights.

We asked them to share their medium with people through collective art pieces.

Our artist collaborators hosted: a finger painting night, a paper mache night, and a theatrical performance. It ultimately expanded our community.

In the end we ultimately created Collective Ownership in our gatherings.

If you build it - they will come. But if WE build it… WE will stay.
